02.28.14 Nonreligious Vs Irreligious Metal02.25.10 Sputnik Has Got Me Into:

Sputnik Has Got Me Into:

Sputnik has gotten me into these records, among many others. These are my most recent loves.
Lost Ground

Lost Ground is an EP that showcases a concept under the genre of hardcore. It does so with emotion that
is finite, not contrived. If you're a fan of hardcore, you should be listening to this right now.
Jane Doe

I, like many, had never heard of Converge until I visited Sputnik and saw all the attention Axe to Fall was
gaining. After listening to both records, I have to say, Jane Doe is a masterpiece.
Grey Britain

When I saw Gallows live in Richmond, as an opener for AFI, I blew them off as just another punk hardcore
band (partly because I couldn't understand what the hell their lead singer was saying, and partly because
that same singer tried to get security to allow moshing - laym). But, after listening to Grey Britain through
and through, I can't believe I haven't had the record since it's release.

Fun. Just fun.
5 Fogive Durden
Razia's Shadow

A pop-punk musical, this is weirdly out of place on this list and on my iPod but, it works.
