| John Waters
Another filmography list, this time from John Waters. If you don't know the guy he was a leading figure in independent film from the 1970's onwards, taking camp appeal and bad taste to new heights making him something of a cult figure whose earlier films were very ahead of their time in terms of shock appeal. | | 1 | Cry-Baby | | 2 | Pink Flamingos | | 3 | Polyester | | 4 | Hairspray | | 5 | Serial Mom | | 6 | Female Trouble | | 7 | Desperate Living | | 8 | Mondo Trasho | | 9 | Multiple Maniacs | | 10 | A Dirty Shame | | 11 | The Diane Linkletter Story | | 12 | Cecil B. 02.22.10 | This guy changed my life.
But yeah, avoid if you have any sense of taste. His later stuff gets particularly awful, though his last film A Dirty Shame was a lot better than Pecker and Cecil B. Demented. The middle of the list was particularly hard to arrange, but i'm pretty solid on that Cry-Baby and Pink Flamingos are the two most important to me. | bloc

02.22.10 | Pink Flamingos is easily one of the best/worst 'wtf?!' moments Ive had watching a movie for the first time.
Waters is a trip. |
