Bfhurricane 02.14.10	Last semester I watched Requiem For A Dream for the first time, awesome movie. You'll love American Psycho, I think it's better than Requiem. I've been meaning to watch Mulholland Drive, maybe I'll do that today.
Electric City 02.14.10	Requiem is the better film while fight club is the more enjoyable movie. American Psycho will go well with this corporate America critiques kick youre on.
EyesWideShut 02.14.10	Requiem > American Phycho only cause American the book is about 10 times more brutal and after reading it leaves a little to be desired. Check out I Stand Alone by Gasper Noe for a fucked up movie. Or Happiness too. FIGHT CLUB FTW !!
AggravatedYeti 02.14.10	Ahhh Requiem. You saw the real version I'm assuming? Shit is bonkers, but what an amazing piece of work. Never looked at game shows the same way again. Psycho is ok imo, I never really caught on to it or the book but whatever. As far as David Lynch is concerned see Blue Velvet too, he has many great films -- and some total pieces of shit, but Velvet is phenomenal.

AggravatedYeti 02.14.10	Those other 2 are very good as well, but significantly more whacked out. They're exceptional from a start-up director but personally he began his stride with Blue Velvet. Really just see all of them, Lynch is a very good filmmaker.

AggravatedYeti 02.14.10	TV series involves an FBI agent coming to a remote North Western US mountain town to investigate a murder of a young girl and it's relation to drug trafficking. It's got a Lynchian supernatural twist though, it's a pretty kooky show, but it's really well done and very funny. But it's almost unabashedly 90s. Fire Walk With Me, the movie is a prequel that involves a few days preceding the murder in the town, Twin Peaks, and most of the people involved in it, so don't watch it first haha.
LeMartien 02.14.10	Requiem for a Dream & Fight Club... like the two best examples of overrated mainstream movies. They're still very good, but most people who think they're amongst the greatest films ever made need to see more.. films made outside of Hollywood by genius directors and not with a billion dollar budget.

LeMartien 02.14.10	I have to admit I didnt know Requiem had 'only' a budget of 4 million and that it was an independent film, and I'm surprised. Even that is a big budget though, just depends on what u compare it to. Anyway the soundtrack definitely makes the movie a lot more dramatic and emotional.
Romulus 02.14.10	I just finished watching Requiem and it was pretty sweet but it wasn't like WOW amazing. I was expecting a bit more of a mindfuck movie and my mind's pretty unfucked. Last scene was awesome though. I'll go se7en > requiem > fight club
