FadeToBlack 02.09.10	been out of the gaming loop for a while now, a friend reminded me that it came out today lol. i took a 30s look on ign and decided "fuck I need this now" :p
KILL 02.09.10	its good but first is way better, but system shock 2 is even better than that so lol
Phantom 02.09.10	multiplayer is pretty average, not started playing single player yet, should be fun but prob won't beat the first game.
Bullitt 02.09.10	I hear it's supposed to be fairly good, more of the same but that's not a bad thing imo.

YourFriendsAreGone 02.09.10	Why is 1 so much better? I would venture that its because of the originality factor, but i'll see, it'll take a few days for my opinion to be solid, but so far the game is great.
Prophet178 02.09.10	It's boring so far. They went with the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality, but the main reason Bioshock was such a great game was it's originality. Now it's just a rehash of the same thing with a less compelling storyline and a shittier protagonist.

YourFriendsAreGone 02.09.10	This edition came with a vinyl 180g LP of number 1's soundtrack, and a regular CD of number 2's. I may review the soundtrack, but im not sure how well i would do on it.

YourFriendsAreGone 02.10.10	After getting a bit farther in, i can see where the rehashing 1 gripe comes into play. I loved 1 so much though, it doesnt matter, its still a great game so far. The combat seems smoother, especially with the changing in the hack mechanic. Not very far into the story, though once again it does seem like a rehash, but it dosesnt bother me too much, once again because of how great a game 1 was.
Prophet178 02.10.10	I can say that hard is fucking hard, unlike 1 where hard was like normal and normal was like easy. I thought about backing out of doing it on hard because it's so frustrating but I've come too far to turn back now.

YourFriendsAreGone 02.11.10	Ok, so am a good ways through it. Loving the Scout/Hypnotize combo, hehe. Game is definately a lot harder, it feels more like a challenge to get through each level, while in the first one, it was fun, but was just "go here, get this plasmid, go bad and you're good". it sometimes follows the same mentality of having to get a certain skill for an area, but the journey to get to it feels like an actual challenge, instead of just waltzing in there. Very happy with combat changes, and the new plasmid upgrades are awesome, how much they change from level to level.

FadeToBlack 02.12.10	got it yesterday. gameplay is improved and more challenging. story is lacking a bit.
Rhinoceron 02.15.10	Agreed first one was better. Let's see... the music was WAY better, levels had a more spread out sort of feeling like you were venturing to many different sections, with this one it's just like one huge area. Gameplay is a lot easier as well (Does nobody remember how hard killing the first BD without dying was?). Siren Alley was the only level that had an original Bioshock feel. 2 didn't pick up until the last moments but it was still a good game, just nowhere as atmospheric.

Bfhurricane 02.15.10	Bioshock 2 is awesome. Although 1 is better, what did you expect? It's a fine sequel, great story and fun gameplay.
FadeToBlack 02.16.10	completed a couple of times now, I think both games are about equal. I am confused by people who simply lie about Bioshock 2s grpahics being worse or it being easier; stop letting your disappointment that the game wasn't a 'revolution' like the first game cloud your judgement

Powerban 02.16.10	Mass Effect 2 > Bioshock 2. Although the first titles in the series were close, Bioshock 2 doesn't seem to have the feeling 1 did where as Mass Effect 2 got it right.
DeafMetal 02.16.10	I'm really enjoying Bioshock 2. It's nice to be able to use plasmids and weapons at the same time. Gameplay's great. Not as atmospheric though, which stinks.
