| So I Saw Cynic Last Night!
So I saw Cynic, BTBAM, Devin Townsend, and Scale the
Summit last
night! It was the last night of the Great Misdirect
Tour, and it was an awesome show. | | 1 | Scale the Summit
They were decent. The sound guy had the bass turned of WAY to loud.
They pissed me off later in the show when some of the members kept
walking onto the side of the stage during Cynic's set to watch. It was really
distracting, and I was ready to pull a Christian Bale on them. | | 2 | Devin Townsend
He was awesome. He really knows how to put on a show. I had not really
listened to him previously, so I was going to buy Addicted! at the show, but
it didn't look like they had it. He was hilarious, he kept referring to us as

This was who I was there to see. And oh my god they were incredible. They
had these cool sound clips in between some of their songs. they are really
layed back on stage, Paul even had us do a yoga move. XD It was

They played a new song. He said the name, but I didn't really hear it. But

They were good. I really enjoyed it, but seeing them live made me realize
how much they can over-play. It was still cool to see them though. Their set
was a little long, at an hour and 45 min. They played a lot of songs, including
four 13min+ songs. They sure put on a great show though. | |

02.07.10 | I saw them last Sunday in Philadelphia and Cynic put on an unreal show. The new song is called Wheels Within Wheels, I think.
BTBAM was good but they bored me with their song list. Like you previously mentioned, too many lengthy songs for an hour and a half set. Still a bunch of talented musicians nonetheless, just not my cup of tea anymore. | HeadbangMastermind93

When I went to this tour, I wasn't too excited for BTBAM, but they really stole the show. I can stand/enjoy them much more live than on record. |
