| Itouch 4g??
So i've got an old 8gb itouch 1st generation and want a new one...but i was wondering if apple has any plans on a 4g itouch. last time i bought one, they came out with the second generation like a week later for like a hundred less dollars. i looked online and it was pretty much just speculation; most people seem to think a bigger hd would be the main upgrade. list is two albums i might buy with it..one, the other, or both. | 1 | | Radiohead Kid A | 2 | | Pink Floyd Animals | |

02.04.10 | The 4G is supposed to be slated for Verizon. They supposedly worked out something so that Verizon will let them use the App Store on their data plan so they aren't restricted to AT&T, allegedly. I don't think they have plans for a 4G on AT&T anytime soon... | CompanionCube
02.04.10 | why would you want a 4g you already have a 8g | halloway
02.04.10 | lol.
one question: what are the perks of the 2nd gen over your 1st gen? for the touch, it seems to me that they all can run apps/games, surf the net, and most importantly: play music. i'd say fuck it. save your money and just buy some albums. | novemberain
02.04.10 | Oh Halloway, i guess i forgot to mention im out of space on my 8gb and i want to go up to a 32GB. One little bit of big information missing there. my bad. and i think some improvements include an external volume control as well as a speaker built into the device.
also do you guys have any leanings between animals or kid a? | thediamondcanopy
02.04.10 | Kid A was amazing, Animals didn't hold my attention, although Meddle is a classic. | Emim
02.04.10 | 4 or even 8 GBs of music is nothing. You need at least 30 GBs if you're serious. The iTouch is just a flash in the pan, go for a iPod or even better, a Zune. | Prophet178
02.04.10 | He said iTouch not iPhone Diamond lol. Get an ipod classic if you want more space at a lower price. Or get a Zune HD 32, they're on sale on amazon right now. | tvol
02.04.10 | 8gb = 8 gigabytes
4g = 4th generation
just to clear that up for idiots like companioncube or emim
see if you can find an older 32 gb touch, and then buy the 3g upgrade for it. only costs like 5 bucks. | halloway
02.05.10 | unless you're gonna be DJing or something, i can't see any real NEED for anything more than 8gb (i'd be impressed if you listen to 8gbs or more a day). i used to have a 20gb ipod and while it was nice to be able to listen to "whatever" at any given moment, i found myself more frustrated by the fact:
if i was listening to it on shuffle, whatever came up would not be my cup of tea at the moment (unlike some people i know, i can't listen to death metal 24/7)
in other words, 8gb is more than plenty, that's why you have a fucking computer/external HD to store your tunes. unless you're really lazy or something, i don't understand why you can't just remove the tunes that are filling up your ipod now and reload some other shit. just keep you're shit and buy both albums. and a st. vincent album or 2. ;-) |
