The Shape Of Punk To Come Ranked
Classicclassicclassic. |
| 1 | Refused Tannhauser / Deriv?
The build up with the violins and clean guitar make the explosion a few minutes in even more powerful
when it finally comes. Just a brilliant song, proves that Refused were more than just another hardcore
band. |
| 2 | New Noise
it's OK but Crazy Town did it better |
| 3 | Worms of the Senses / Faculties of the Skull
Fucking meaty riffs. The disco breakdown at the end is surprisingly awesome. |
| 4 | Refused Are Fucking Dead
The last minute might be the best moment on the cd. |
| 5 | The Shape of Punk to Come
It's got that classic angular riff... |
| 6 | The Deadly Rhythm
I feel some injustice putting this at 6. Makes me want to fuck up some liberals. |
| 7 | Liberation Frequency
The contrast between the verse and chorus is extremely well-done. |
| 8 | Protest Song '68
Some excellent drumming here. |
| 9 | Summerholidays vs. Punkroutine
Probably the most accessible and catchy song on the album. |
| 10 | The Apollo Program Was a Hoax
This should probably be a lot higher actually. It really ends the cd perfectly even if it's way different
than
the rest of the cd. Beautiful and reflective. |
| 11 | The Refused Party Program
Love how this one seems like a live performance. |
| 12 | Bruitist Poem 5
Cuz it's an interlude but it's a very interesting one at that. |
