01.09.10 | Not all of these are not necessarily directed towards, but I like to listen to them when drinking some whiskey. |
Athom
01.09.10 | ETID - The Big Dirty. |
SteelErectedb4you8er
01.09.10 | That is a good record and good choice, probably my favorite ETID record. |
Phantom
01.09.10 | woooooooooooooooooo tom waits |

01.09.10 | Whiskey is the crux of my existence. I was gonna say some ETID is in need. I gotta have a little He Is Legend as well. |
SteelErectedb4you8er
01.09.10 | Been hearing about that new He Is Legend record. See I have always been a stoner metal fan, and that's kind of music I play. So, I will give it a shot because I love good riffs. |
CushMG15
01.09.10 | Bah, new one is decent at best. I Am Hollywood is incredible and probably one of my favorite discs. I'd say their 2nd LP, Suck Out the Poison, is their most stoner metal influenced. It's also their weakest, but it has great moments. |

01.09.10 | I saw He Is Legend live with Killswitch about 2 or 4 years ago and I was pretty impressed. I haven't ever checked them out on record though -- I've been meaning to. I clicked on this (without knowing it was yours Steel, I probably should've guessed though hah) hoping to see 3 and 8 on here and they are so I'm happy! I'm actually about to turn on some college basketball and listen to Voices of Omens right now -- thanks for that man.
I'd say maybe some Crowbar (and of course The Big Dirty, one of my favorites from ETID).. Sometimes people rip on me for this, but I think Load by Metallica is a great record in the vein of CoC, Pantera, Down, etc.. if just a little too polished. But Ain't My Bitch, 2x4, House That Jack Built, Wasting My Hate, Ronnie... I mean c'mon, great songs. |

01.09.10 | hah, meant to say 3 or 4 years ago |

01.09.10 | ^^^Don't forget Bleeding Me on Load, great song right there. I didn't even think of that cd, but you're absolutely right seeing as House That Jack Built is a direct reference to Jack Daniels. |

01.09.10 | No problem, dude. You are going to have to let me know what you think of that Rwake album. Like I said, it is my favorite albums of all time. And it gets better with every listen. I thought about Crowbar, but then, it didn't make the cut. I'll look into some he Is Legend. I don't know I can't listen to Load. James's voice gets on my nerves. Ain't my biiiitchaaaah! |

01.09.10 | needs MORE tom waits, townes van sant, the drones, harvey milk, the national, the replacements, uncle tupelo, etc |
SteelErectedb4you8er
01.09.10 | definitely also love townes van zandt and harvey milk. tom waits is of course awesome. I haven't heard the national, but it seems a lot of people like Boxer. Something I should look into? |

01.10.10 | yeah, James' voice can get a little annoying on the 90s records haha. CushMG15, I love both Bleeding Me and Outlaw Torn -- I guess I was just going with the more heavy, bluesy songs up there; but yeah, Bleeding Me's probably my favorite song on Load.
Oh, Steel, I dig the Rwake. It seems like something I need to give a couple listens to fully digest though. |
joshuatree
01.10.10 | yeah the national rules, kind of like early tom waits, or strikes that same sort of boozy tone. boxer's a good album but imo alligator's so much better, get that |
Phil
01.10.10 | Maylene and the sons of distaster's I and The Fume's Sundancer. They reek of whiskey. |
