Prophet178
01.09.10 | Olafur Arnalds - Dyod 1909
Don't call it neoclassical unless you actually mean neoclassical. Modern classical = modern classical. |

01.09.10 | The one I suggested is neo classical |

01.09.10 | Dmitri Shostakovich is more metal than most metal bands nowadays...most of the russians are incredibly hard core. that's pretty coherent neoclassical stuff.
i tend to break it down by mood.
for sheer beauty, try brahms piano quartet no. 1; rimsky-korsakov: scheherazade; tchaikovsky symphonies no. 4, 5, 6
for adrenaline pumping stuff- try mahler symphony no. 1; most things by shosatkovich...specifically quartet no. 3 or 8; or richard strauss- death and transfiguration
for mental stimulation- bach cello suites or any of his piano/organ works; late beethoven stuff (symphonies 8 or 9)
there is basically classical music that fits any taste. if you need more just message me, but i probably went overboard anyway |

01.10.10 | the planets by Holst. It's a single album with 8/9 different songs based around the the individual planets. it's really easy to get into and it's quite good. Also stay away from Baroque as it is really boring. |

01.10.10 | Baroque has it's times. Listen to Glenn Gould's performance of Bach's Goldberg Variations, awesome stuff. Chewie's right, I forgot Mozart, but seriously Handel is great. |
