01.05.10 | 1. That's their best album.
2. Try Relationship of Command and then get into their other stuff (it's all good though)
5. OK Computer is my favorite album by them, but plenty of people like Kid A and The Bends
6. Artist in the Ambulance is their most accessible albums but the Illusion of Safety is considered their best (critically). |

01.05.10 | For 5 I personally wouldnt start with Kid A.... Chose OK Computer instead
For 6 ... Imo The Artist in the Ambulance is great, I really really regard the Alchemy Index has superb though. However it might not be as representative |
Svedankae
01.05.10 | it should be "as superb" in my previous post |

01.05.10 | I like the Alchemy Index set, but it's really not what you think of when you think of Thrice. |
JAV
01.05.10 | Mars Volta- moments of brilliance and lots of crap, At the Drive In is much better.
Thrice is excellent, start with Artist in the Ambulance or Illusion of Safety. |

01.05.10 | 5. Imo In Rainbows is the best of the newer albums, but most people will tell you OK Computer.
6. Vheissu is their best, Artist in the Ambulance is the most accesible. IoS/AITA are more post-hardcore, Beggars is more alt rock. Take your pick |

01.05.10 | I like At the Drive-In much more than The Mars Volta, and you should definitely start with Relationship of Command and then just work your way backwards. For The Mars Volta I would say go with DeLoused in the Comatorium, it's the only one I can truly enjoy pretty much all the way through (lot's of noisy garbage on their albums imo).
I just recently got into Radiohead myself, but I started with OK Computer and then got Kid A; now I'm working on Amnesiac.
For Thrice I would say start with The Artist in the Ambulance if you like post-hardcore or start with Vheissu if you like alt-rock. Vheissu and The Illusion of Safety are their best in my opinion (Beggars is really good too). |

01.05.10 | Hey man, listen to the mars Volta's "De-loused in the Crematorium" first. Frances is prety good but it's got a lot of flaws in it and it may turn you off Volta permanently. |

01.05.10 | Fuck you guys. Frances the Mute is way more consistent than De-Loused. I like De-Loused a lot but Frances the Mute is a prog masterpiece. Sorry that you don't like atmosphere, maybe you should take some riddalin and chill out because if you can't listen to a minute or two of buildup then that's just pathetic. |

01.06.10 | ^ Amnesiac is painfully hard to get into, esp if you haven't listened to Kid A. In Rainbows and Ok Computer are the most accessible then Hail to the thief. Note: do not read university papers on Kid A until you really understand it or you'll just get really confused. |

01.06.10 | so far ive only gotten to listen to deloused
i cant decide between raiting it a 4.5 and 5 |
Tulannical
01.06.10 | 1. De-Loused is their most accessible.
2. Relationship of Command
3. Get "Frengers"
5. Kid A, easily.
6. Vheissu |

01.06.10 | For at the drive-in, get Acrobatic Tenement, or Relationship of Command, both are truly great. |

01.06.10 | 1. Deloused. but francis has some good tracks on it.
2. Relationship to Command, but Vaya is a hell of an ep. In/Casino/Out is awesome too.
3. I personally like and the glass handed kites the best from what I heard.
4. no idea.
5. Kid A is amazing. Bends if you want more good depressing pop songs, ok computer if you want more spacey rock songs, or kid a for an experience.
6. I am trying to get into them now too. |
