Revised 2009 List

Well only one month after I made my 09 list I have changed my opinions about some of the albums. Here's the new top 15

Manchester Orchestra
Mean Everything to Nothing

This album has been continuously growing on me. There's just something about it that always draws me back.

Silversun Pickups
Swoon

Surprisingly I got this before it got hyped out on sputnik. Going to see them with Muse in Feb, soo pumped.

Mastodon
Crack the Skye

I absolutely LOVE this album, it would be a 5 if the lyrics weren't completely nonsensical. The instruments are simply great. Saw the whole thing played live, twas epic.

Rx Bandits
Mandala

Initially I had this as a 5, but its grown off me a bit. Very catchy yet technically and interesting both instrumentally and vocally.

Mono
Hymn to the Immortal Wind

Predictable but beautiful post rock. I do prefer You Are There to this, but Hymn got me into Mono and sort of post rock in general.

...In Shallow Seas We Sail

Excellent post-hardcore album with great dual vocals and guitar interplay. Its great but a bit predictable.

Thrice
Beggars

Yes, I am a Thrice fanboy. They're my favorite band, not their best though. Beggars seems to be the natural result of all their experimentation in the past few albums.
