12.30.09 | oh man, I think they're the two best metalcore drummers out there.. Although it would be hard to choose which one of these to take off.. maybe Boecklin lol? |

12.30.09 | i can see maybe considering mark castillo, but bury your dead? nope, sorry, aint happenin |
Inveigh
12.30.09 | actually, Castillo's kind of a beast on that BYD album.. not a huge fan of the band, but the drumming on Cover Your Tracks is sick nasty |
intothepit83
12.30.09 | i just never could stand them.... even though remembering never hasn't been around a lot longer than bury your dead, i just felt that whole album and everything after "cover your tracks' was just a copycat effort |

12.30.09 | oh man, I've never really even thought of the bands as THAT similar.. huh, I can see why you'd say that though. Funny story, I was at a Throwdown, Remembering Never + Agony Scene show in this town about 70 miles outside Chicago called Rockford a few years back (it wasn't that far from the college town I lived in at the time) and during the opening band's set (some local Norma Jean ripoff) the security guards tackled the only black guy at the show and literally opened the doors with his head as they threw him out and cuffed him (for apparently no reason). As we were outside having a smoke, Brent (Agony Scene drummer at the time) came over to me and my friends asking if we knew where to get pot (we had some, which we offered to smoke with him after their set) and then he suggested we all say we heard the guards yelling the n-word once the cops got there.
Long story long, we did just that and one of the security guards got arrested; Agony Scene put on a great show actually, we smoked up with Brent behind the venue and then watched Remembering Never and Throwdown from behind the stage. Fucking awesome experience. |

12.30.09 | wow, the most i can say was the i got drunk and high with the lead singer of papa roach about 4 years ago by accident.... actually, that's funny.
i went to see hed(pe) and mushroomhead about 4 months ago down here at revolution. fuckin amazing show, but there was this dude in the pit that was going after people that were hitting him. and i dont just mean going after them, but actually trying to fight them. he eventually got kicked out during hed(pe)'s set, and while he was being escorted out, he tried to charge the stage at the lead singer. a lil later on, after hed(pe)'s set was over, the vocalist was at the merch booth signing autographs, when there was like this huge commotion around the front of the merch booth. this dude that was escorted out earlier FOUND his way back in and stuck hed(pe)'s vocalist right in the face twice, punched alexis brown from straight line stitch right in the gut, and was finally put in cuffs and escorted out by police. craziest shit i've ever seen at a concert at a club. |

12.30.09 | ^lol that's awesome! I've actually found myself drinking/smoking with a bunch of bands during/after concerts, not sure how. I smoked a bowl with Jason Bittner from Shadows Fall outside Clearwater Theater about 5 years ago before a show. Also toked up and drank Jager with Phil from All That Remains and A Life Once Lost after an Ozzfest (ALOL provided the Jager, they had an endorsement deal -- also, Bleeding Through was there, just not drinking/smoking). Hmm.. oh! Drank with Threat Signal after a show, also did shots with Bob from ALOL after a different show. |
