What's crazy, is that a couple of these that aren't on mine were the last one's cut from my list (i.e. Parkway Drive, rEVOLVEr, Ignite and Champion). How are we not musical neighbors?? Me and Deviant had this same discussion, we rate albums almost identically, yet no neighborship.
I like the theme you went with on this list too man, how they got through to you during tough times. Lucy Ford was one of the most therapuetic albums for me, just because of some relationship issues I was having about 4-5 years ago when I first got into that one. Good shit man. |

12.21.09 | inveigh, music is my life dude.... if i could find a way to make it my profession, i would. some of these albums rip at my heart, while some give me that push that i need sometimes. that's why aggression from verse is number one on my list. it talks about a life that i didnt have when i first heard it, and inspired me to grab what i want out of life. there isn't a better way to express emotion through music, either while making it or listening to it |

12.21.09 | agreed man. If I have one regret in my life, it's that I didn't do everything in my power when I was younger to make sure music could be my profession. I mean, I played in bands and stuff, but I wish I would've taken it more seriously and looked harder for other, more accomplished bandmates. Makes me sound like an old man, but stuff like that you just don't realize until you get older and options start disappearing (for instance, not quite realistic to do music for a living now). I feel ya man, hardcore has that inspiring element to it and that's what has always drawn me to the genre. |

But I'm 100% with you on the importance of music in life. It's everything, no matter the genre you prefer, it's what it means to you, and how it supports (and elevates) you through good and bad.
