DBlitz 12.17.09	lol okay, i believe you about the ratings but, seriously do you even listen to those bands you've listed? have you listened to them more than enough times to be recommending it to people?
BallsToTheWall 12.17.09	If we're talking about me here, I obviously enjoy everything i've listed. However, each album i've listened to range from a few spins from a recent downloading to other records i've enjoyed for a moderate to a long time. "nah i'm just tired of people thinking pretending to like all this death metal cause it was on rasputin's blog/death metal list." Of course that's bound to happen. If you have noticed, alot of people on this site only listen to music with high ratings that are being reccomended to them. A lesser degree of users actually go out and independently search out music for their own interests, which is pretty dissapointing.

FistfulOfSteel 12.17.09	if youre referring to last.fm play counts, that's false advertising. ipod plays don't get transferred over too well. and even if i've got an album that i like, i don't find myself listening to anything extensively. just a habit to prevent myself from getting tired of something too quick. @Balls. Last point you made is truth.
DBlitz 12.17.09	i wasn't talkin about lastfm, just asking but for a lot of bands, if you're not listening to it extensively its hard for it to sink in and to have an accurate idea of what you think of it. maybe thats just me though. of course there are bands that you know whether you love or hate it in one listen but there's also some that you like, and just keep liking more with repeated listens. this isn't directed at you fistful, but listening to it once and then claiming to love it and start rec'ing it is just pretending imo. btw for me my ipod transfers its plays really well like 90% of the time, sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it quadruple scrobbles. and balls i know what you mean, but still. there are people (again, not directed to anyone in particular, but maybe to that emim guy) who should be listening to more of the gateway stuff before listening to, say the stuff on your list (for example).
