The Greatest Songs I've Heard the Last Five Years
Pretty much explains itself. I put a lot of thought into this. Enjoy. |
1 | Thrice For Miles
Honestly, does it get anymore beautiful than this song? It's nearly flawless...and the buildup is nothing short of goosebump inducing. |
2 | Regina Spektor Samson
This song is so beautiful...it brings tears to my eyes, even with the quirky lyrics. |
3 | Sage Francis Sea Lion
It's not often I like any hip hop music, but this song blew me away. Brilliant! |
4 | Rainer Maria Situation:Relation
What really makes this song memorable to me is the stripped down rawness of it. Some simple yet elegant plucked guitar chords and a beautiful female voice whispering ever so emotionally over top. |
5 | Damien Rice The Blower's Daughter
Why? Because it's overwhelmingly sappy...it actually brought tears to my eyes the first time I heard it. I still tear up to this day. |
6 | Between the Buried and Me All Bodies
It's the ultimate metal song, with the most awesome chorus I have ever heard. This song has it all and will never get old to me. It's a classic in my eyes. |
7 | Sigur Ros Andvari
The string outro says it all |
8 | Isis So Did We
There couldn't be a better way to start off an album. And with an unbelievable plethora of good songs in their catologue, this stands out as one of their finest. |
9 | Lovedrug Pretend You're Alive
I'll probably take a lot of heat for this...but oh well, it's a great song. |
10 | Emily Haines Doctor Blind
Undeniably catchy. |
