Inveigh 11.30.09	ah, gotcha. I went more with the guitars and the "driving" nature of the songs with the ones I liked -- I can see how they're not as impressive vocally as the ones you mentioned though. Word.

Inveigh 11.30.09	Eh, I have 15 albums in waiting for my tops of 2009 list, those two just didn't make the cut for me. I do like them a lot, which is why they're in my top 5 on this list (i.e. they'd be in my top 20 for the year). I guess I just like the previous output from both of those bands a little more than that specific album. TETA and PCL are my two favorite Propagandhi discs and Leviathan beats out CTS for my favorite Mastodon (Remission is probably tied with CTS tbh).

Emim 12.01.09	Ha ha, calm down man. I have reviews with the same amount of comments. A lot of good stuff, but Slayer really was a let down (though I never really liked them anyway).

Oneironaut 12.01.09	I love 3! it'd crack my top ten most probably. Damn, 09 had a whole lot of releases I really dug. 2 was a disappointment, even though I wasn't expecting much. Haven't heard 5 in awhile, so I'll have to dust that off and give it a spin to see where it stands. I was pleasantly surprised with 11 actually. interested to see your top of 09 home slice
Inveigh 12.01.09	I do enjoy me some Chimaira from time to time, but The Infection was pretty mediocre to me, save for a few tracks. And yes, Chimaira live is just awful these days -- no energy. I too was disappointed in Slayer; but more because it didn't live up to the high standards set recently by Metallica, Megadeth and Testament. And you all rock for commenting!

Inveigh 12.01.09	Agreed Deviant, although I'm nearly as into Mastodon or Lamb of God as I used to be. Oneironaut: It was really tough putting 3 out of the top 15 actually. The only reason 1 was on this list is because it was technically supposed to come out in 2004 but was shelved for 5 years due to personal reasons that are described on the songs at the end of the disc. And yeah, I can see that 2 is a disappointment to most, even myself included. But I really like the song-writing on it (even if it's a poppy and slightly generic) so I put it pretty high.

Inveigh 12.01.09	hah, I knew I would get some shit for putting 3 on this list instead of my tops of 09 list. And to be honest, that was the one I felt most guilty about moving to this list. But it was basically between that and Strung Out's newest one and I went with Agents of the Underground. Which is strange, because I've always been more of a Propagandhi fan.. Really it's just a mood thing, and today was a Strung Out kinda day for me.

Inveigh 12.01.09	Yea, I really can't justify putting 3 over 2 at all. I think that I just give a lot of props to 2 because of how much hate it gets (undeservedly so, IMO). But in all honesty, 3 is the better disc. I'll probably do the other one later this week; gotta sort it out a little bit I guess. And yea, no secrets about whats #1. You gonna do a 2009 one deviant?
