Powerban 11.27.09	Oh yeah, and it's justified. Bands get more money from tours most of the time anyway. Band makes album - I get album pretty much instantly - I love album - I by bands shirts + attend concerts - Band gets my money - 95% of bands would be happy with that.
Zettel 11.27.09	Powerbam: You logic is pretty naive and you fail to see the whole picture. If you can't see it, maybe you're indeed in denial. Everyone should thank anyone who actually buys an album, since they are the ones who supports the industry and let people like you (and everyone) at least get your mp3's with a decent audio quality. This is not about ethics, it's about economy. Which way the bands gets more money is a completely different question.
BenX02 11.27.09	I'm not making any retarded accusations, I'm saying you are trying to justify that you have some right to illegally download albums. No matter how you look at it, the bands put hundreds of hours into their albums, and deserve to get paid for what they do. And you can't honestly tell me that you buy a t-shirt, and go to a concert for every band you download. But in the end, what you do is your business, and I don't want to argue with you.
Powerban 11.27.09	I don't buy a shirt for every band I download, no.. I'm not a millionaire. What I do is support the band in every other way if I really like them. Telling my friends, telling people online. I even make donations, last donation I made was to Psychostick actually. It's not just about buying albums. I'm pretty sure most of sputnik grabs a lot of their albums illegally. But what they do is the best thing for any band, they advertise, they get the word out about bands and then people on here get word of it and either buy their cd, or they go to a concert, or pick up a shirt. This is prosperous for the band and in my opinion justifies the reasoning behind downloading of albums illegally since they're still making the money off me stealing it in the first place since I do all the above. If I see an album in shops though, I'll grab it if I have the cash. Is there honestly a problem with this at all?
