I can see the whole ambiance complaint but the fact is (for me anyways) that the actual songs (meaning the parts you arent referring to as ambiance) on 2 are so SO much better than anything else theyve done- and thats saying a lot because 1 is absolutely killer too. Dont anyone hate on me I already know im in the minority with this one I just thought id share my thoughts. Also I agree completely with "Would be great if Cedric's voice wasn't layered 20 times." I absolutely cannot stand that shit it came seriously close to ruining the album for me.

Prophet178 11.26.09	Nah, Deloused is still better. I actually like the ambiance of Frances, but I like ambient music in general. I think it gives the record a unique and orchestral feel; a larger than life kind of thing. But still, Deloused has the better songs, and it is the better album as a whole.

0ctahedronzz 11.27.09	Yes, most WOULD bash Amputechture because of how differnt it is from Deloused. Truth is, Deloused gets boring after the first couple of months of listening. I find myself WANTING to listen to Frances almost every single day. That pure progressive genius is amazing. Amputechture has amazing work it in. Such energy in Day of the Baphomets and Tetragrammaton. I mean the album can just have those two songs and I would be happy. There really is a lot of creativity minus the gay fillers.

Only deloused sure as hell isnt boring for me, but it lost its initial appeal after about a month whereas I still listen to Frances all the time.
vakuola 12.04.09	I'm a die-hard TMV fan so I can't say which album I like less (really), anyway, I think Amputechture is the most underrated TMV album, when I first listened to it, I immediately fell in love with it (And I've been a fan since De-Loused), but that's just me.
