11.09.09 | 3, 4, 8 and 10 would definitely be on my list (were I to make one) but the lack of Deftones' self-titled ultimately makes this list fail. I'm trying to remember what other metal albums came out that year... I know Soilwork had Figure Number Five, but that was pretty bad... I'll have to get back to ya.. | Deviant.

11.10.09 | I've never liked Deftones, idk why, I can't get into them. And some would also argue that they aren't metal either. The reason The Mars Volta and Opeth are in this list is because they have been included in metal lists before, so I figured it would be okay to include them. Plus overall, 2003 was kind of a slow year in metal. | zrosschristian
