10.30.09 | I wouldn't say Ire Works RULES necessarily, it's too inconsistent to me. But it definiltely doesn't deserve the hate it gets, as there is a bunch of rewarding material on it. I agree with 1, that's my favorite song on the disc as well. "This feels like neverENDING, this feels like neverENDING!!!" just sends chills down my spine.
I also like Black Bubblegum a lot, as well as Mouth of Ghosts. I view Ire Works as a transitional album, as I expect GREAT things from Operation Paralysis. |

Unretrofied and Setting Fire to Sleeping Giants are among my favorite songs by The Dillinger Escape Plan and both of those are mainstream friendly. Personally I don't find the heavier moments on Ire Works to be that great either. After hearing some new shit live I have high hopes for their next CD though. |
