My Top 10

It's hard to put in order, but here's my favorite 10 bands.
1August Burns Red

Talent all the way around, with great screaming and lyrics = total win. Matt Greiner provides some absolutely sick cymbal work and mind blowing technicality with the bass patterns.
2All Shall Perish

One of the best screamers around in Eddie Hermida and fantastic drumming. Politically charged lyrics also a huge awesome factor.
3Suicide Silence

Sometimes I just feel like getting the blood flowing: Suicide Silence is my favorite for those times.
4As Blood Runs Black

Incredibly technical drum work (especially the double bass) is always a joy from ABRB.
5The Devil Wears Prada

Sometimes clean vocals are nice, but I don't like sacrificing musicianship. Enter TDWP.
6Heaven Shall Burn

Deutschland uberalles! This Thuringen based group is overflowing with talent, and I love their lyrics.
7Misery Signals

They mix clean vocals and calm guitar/drum work with technical heavy parts better than anyone else. If you decide to listen to them, check out the album, Controller.
8For The Fallen Dreams

A lot like Misery Signals, but without parts of clean vocals. Listen to the song "Hopeless". Jizz in mah pants.
9Whitechapel

Brutal and technical. Death never sounded so sweet.
10Between The Buried and Me

Fuck yeah. BTBAM is incredible at separating what each instrument is doing, yet compiling it all into one chaotic, yet completely beautiful ballad, time after time. Like a confederacy of musicians.
