10 great Records :)
1 Taking Back Sunday
New Again.

A benchmark for the current Alternative Modern Rock Scene, great song writting, buzzy riffs, this isn't going to have the staying power or cultural Impact of the Dinosaur Jr's or Nirvana's of previous generations but its bursting full of impassioned Rocking numbers.
2 Blur
Midlife:A Beginner's Guide To Blur.

Forget about the battle of Britpop and Cool Britannia, and Just listen to these fine tunes from one of the greatest groups to come out of Britain in the last 25 years,Though personally I'm more of a fan of the later, American lo-fi influenced material, there are some top songs that cant be missed, thus why this collection is chosen.
3 Marvelous 3
Hey! Album (Indie).

A classic powerpop record, although It could be criticised for not breaking any new ground, that's not what powerpop is about, its about churning out, arena sized melodies on an Indie budget.Raw and less polished than the Major label version, This is the perfect middle ground between "Ready Sex Go's" Glimmering Pop Metal in your face melodies and the more new wave pop rock of début,"Math and other Problems", This album should of been huge, though perhaps one of its main charms is that it wasn't.
4 The Smiths
The Queen Is Dead.

The Classic Record among The back catalogue of The Smiths; where as other albums may have had most of my favourite songs spattered across them, the quality of the record as a whole shades the rest of the back catalogue.
5 Various Artists.
Adventureland OST.

This has to be one of the best Film soundtracks ever, Where else could you get a compilation that mixed Lou Reed,INXS,The Cure,Big Star,The Replacements and Husker Du?
6 The Replacements
Let it Be.

Classic Indie/Punk Rock record, perfectly Imperfect.
7 Placebo
Once More With Feeling:Singles 1996-2004.

I can admit, even though I like them, Placebo are not necessarily a band that make great albums, however, they write great Singles as this compilation proves.
8 Jeff Buckley
Grace.

amazing vocally, massive impact, especially on Radiohead's The Bends.
9 Radiohead
OK Computer.

The Best 'Guitar Rock' record Radiohead recorded and it could be argued the overall best of there output.
10 Take That.
Beautiful World.

Curveball, Great Pop Songs, a couple of years ago I would of hated it, but as I become a better more mature listener, aspiring song writer,Musician and in the process of learning sound engineering and production,The Quality pop of this record exudes through its very being, track 02, "Patience" is a high point of modern pop.
