| Between the Buried and Me: The Silent Circus - Ranked |
| 1 | Mordecai
If it wasn't for this song, I probably would still despise Between the Buried and Me to this day. I used to think that this band was just a bunch of random teenagers throwing a bunch of crap together and call it music. I also thought that the singer couldn't sing so he had to resort to screaming all the time. I was way off. When I first heard the transition from heavy to soft in this song, I had to listen to it about 20 more times for it to register in my brain. Phenomenal song and a Between the Buried and Me classic. |

Similar to "Mordecai" in that it has a beautiful transition to a soft section. Well, the soft section in this song (and pretty much every Between the Buried and Me song with a soft section) is beautiful and the heavy part is menacing and chaotic. Also, the proggy guitar part at 1:53 is awesome. |
| 3 | Aesthetic
Probably my favorite Between the Buried and Me intro and one of my favorite intros to any song. It has a robotic feel to it which I love. Besides the intro, the guitars in this song are excellent. |
| 4 | Lost Perfection: Coulrophobia
Fantastic intro to the album. The proggy part at 1:13 is phenomenal and the riff at 3:21 is just... awesome. |
| 5 | Destructo Spin
This song is filled with great riffs. 1:18 has this trill riff on the guitars and for some reason I've always loved the riff at 2:11. Actually, every riff on this song is stellar and the black metal-esque outro is ace. |
| 6 | Camilla Rhodes
The most chaotic song on the album for sure. Definitely the stand out part of the song is the psychedelic part which leads into that stellar bass line at 1:43. |
| 7 | Lost Perfection: Anablephobia
Great drum intro to this track. This song is excellent; the only thing that makes it lower than the others is because it doesn't have as many standout qualities. |
| 8 | (Shevanel Take 2)
In context of the album, this song is like a 9/10. It flows perfectly from Mordecai/Reaction and gives the listener a break from the intensity, but outside of the album, it isn't as great of a song. |
| 9 | The Need for Repetition
This song has great riffs. The only thing that brings it down is the elongated silence and the fact that I feel they could have ended the album much better. Still, the clean guitar at 2:51 is great and most of the riffs are nice; just a bit too repetitious (no pun intended). |
| 10 | Reaction
Like (Shevanel Take 2), this song works perfectly in the album. On its own, however, it isn't anything special. |
