Eskate87: Best Horror Movies I've Seen/fall Music...

TheGreatD17 10.13.09	Not really a horror movie fan myself, but I still can't say I like many of these. The Shining to me is just an average movie saved by a fantastic director, while Cube and Event Horizon are, like a lot of cult favorites, pretty dumb. They Live is corny-awesome though, the fight between Roddy Piper and Keith David is one of the best in movie history.

cvlts 10.13.09	if you play warhammer 40k then event horizon was AMAZING. which it was. yeah The Descent was prty disturbing i thought. The Shining was all right for some reason i find Silent Hill to be my 1. jus cause it has every element that a horror film should have.

Yotimi 10.13.09	The Shining and Audition are great. Check out Lynch's Inland Empire for even more of a mindfuck than Mullholland Drive. I'd also add the original Halloween, Exorcist, and Blair Witch. And Balls, the first half of It ruled, but the second half sucked.

Kind of like Donnie Darko, except not awesome. Check out: The Midnight Meat Train The Omen (original) Wolf Creek Frontier(s) High Tension (up until the end it's pretty awesome) Inside If you can't tell, I like foreign horror films. Oh, and Motel Hell is pretty awesome for campy goodness.

Inveigh 10.13.09	well, if you knew much about the horror genre you would know that Midnight Meat Train was based on one of Clive Barker's most well-known short stories. I wouldn't necessarily call myself a "horror fanatic" but I am a horror fan with a degree in film and Mullholland Drive doesn't make any sense plot-wise (I'm not even sure it's supposed to) although the asthetics are pretty interesting. For a low-budget serial killer/torture movie, Wolf Creek is pretty awesome. I know plenty of respectable movie and horror fans that agree with me (I did go to school with quite a few of them).

Eskate87 10.13.09	I was really close to putting High Tension on the list simply because it was so brutal, but ya the ending did suck big time. And i've heard that Frontier(s) is crazy too. Im so pumped to see Paranormal Activity, it looks pretty great and you cant ignore all the buzz and rave reviews its gotten... Also waiting to see Drag Me To Hell and Trick r' Treat
Inveigh 10.13.09	yeah, I'd like to see Paranormal Activity, but I'm remaining skeptical until I actually see it. Drag Me To Hell will be one of my next rentals for sure, Sam Raimi's the man. Well, he used to be. In fact, I've heard the movie's really not that good, but I'm gonna see it anyways.
