|Best Post Rock Albums Of All Time|
The ten best post rock albums of all time.
|1||Meanwhile, Back in Communist Russia|
The ambient instrumentals create a perfect canvas for beautifully done lyrics.
|2|| ||Sigur Ros|
Oh, I could put six differnent Sigur Ros albums on this list, but I promised just to keep one on there. This is my personal favorite, simply because very track just makes me want to be happy forever.
|3|| ||Godspeed You! Black Emperor|
Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven
Yeah, I know you're thinking "What? Radiohead isn't post rock..." But, listen to the album and listen to other post rock stuff. You can really see the infuence, besides the vocals and slight lack of ambience.
Ah, another band I had to choose only the best from. I could put many of their albums on here.
|6||Explosions in the Sky|
All of a Sudden, I Miss Everyone
This album is like a roller coaster. Goes up, and down, and up, and down beautifully.
One Time For All Time
Again, arguably not post rock, but still fantastic stuff. I really considered putting Fall of Math on here, but decided against it.
Great post rock stuff, although a tad generic.
|9|| ||Do Make Say Think|
You, You're a History in Rust
Post rock with some folk infuences? Heh.
|10|| ||God is an Astonaut|
The End of The Beginning
Although overly riff-bassed, there's something I just love about this record. Probably the total overuse of downbeat-ness.
|Slint is generic?!?! They pretty much co-invented the genre dude.|
Needs some Talk Talk - Laughing Stock, Mono, Yndi Halda, Tortise, etc.
|TEINACDP is better than 6.|
|You shouldn't have done this.|
|even if you wanna make the argument that in rainbows is post rock, theres no way its in the top ten ever|
