Stuff that routinely has been getting played in my car as of lately. |
1 | | Megadeth Endgame
This band never ceases to amaze me at how awesome they still sound, and how true they have stayed
to
their roots. Amazing album. Favorite Song: 44 Minutes |
2 | | The Gaslight Anthem Sink Or Swim
Saw these guys open for Rise Against last year, gave their cd a listen, I've been hooked ever since. Very
talented folky punk-rock band, who would have guessed they've only been around for 4 or so years?
Favorite Song: I Woulda Called You Woody, Joe |
3 | | A Day To Remember For Those Who Have Heart
While their formula has been done many times before, I can't help but find a lot of their songs really
catchy. Very fun band to see live as well. Favorite Song: Fast Forward to 2012 |
4 | | Set Your Goals This Will Be The Death of Us
I'm digging their hardcore sound combined with the pop-punkish vocals. Sounds like ADTR without the
breakdowns, and better clean sections. Favorite Song: Gaia Bleeds (Make Way For Man) |
5 | | The Devil Wears Prada With Roots Above and Branches Below
Although they can get a bit annoying at times, TDWP has moments on this cd where they shine. The
first
minute or so of Danger: Wildman is pretty epic IMO. Favorite Song: The first minute or so of Danger:
Wildman lol |
6 | | Austrian Death Machine Double Brutal
Tim Lambesis is a genius for creating this band. The combination of catchy thrash riffs, predictable but
still
fun breakdowns, and of course the Ahhnold vocals make this a great cd to headbang to. The covers are
done well too, with my favorite being Mr. Freezes song, Trapped Under Ice. I honestly enjoy this band
more than As I Lay Dying. Favorite song: It's Simple, If It Jiggles It's Fat |
7 | | Dethklok The Dethalbum II
This blows The Dethalbum out of the water. Every song on this cd is solid, and Dethklok seems to have
grown out of being more than a joke band. Favorite Song: Dethsupport |
8 | | Streetlight Manifesto Somewhere in the Between
This was probably one of the best live sets I've ever seen. Moshing's cool and all, but the vibe I got from
the Streetlight crowd was that everyone just getting together a just having a great time skanking. It felt
like a big party. I picked up Somewhere in the Between shortly after, and I can't stop listening to it. One
of
the better horn sections I've heard in awhile. Favorite Song: Would You Be Impressed? |
9 | | Bad Religion Suffer
Been getting into a lot of older Bad Religion lately, and this cd truly shines out of their discography.
Favorite Song: What Can You Do? |
10 | | Blink-182 Take Off Your Pants And Jacket
Seeing this band in concert recently drove me to pop this cd back in my car. After all these years, it's
still
great and easily my favorite behind Dude Ranch. Favorite Song: Anthem, Part 2 |
