Flashforward...

...has potential. Which is a shame, because if it's good, that means I have to admit liking something that has Seth MacFarlane involved. Besides Blue Harvest, of course. Oh, also, here's a few bands I'm thinking about checking out.
1Year of No Light

French post-metal is a genre I don't feel like I've explored too much yet, so I figure why not start. These guys have a split with Rosetta and East of the Wall coming out soon, too, which sounds pretty awesome.
2Andrew Tweedy

Actually sort of stumbled upon this one by accident. And though I'm relatively positive he isn't related to anyone in Wilco, the fact that someone from Buried Inside has an acoustic album is really intriguing to me.
3A Fine Frenzy

My cousin has one of her albums, and from what I heard, she sounds very Regina Spektor-esque, but in a good way, not a derivative one.
4Ludo

Yet another recommendation from my cousin. I haven't heard anything by these guys, but they're apparently very big in the Chicago area. Who knew? Well, I guess the Chicagoans knew...but other than that, I mean.
5Anberlin

I've heard talk of this band for years, but never really looked too closely until I got Anchor & Braille's debut (not knowing the relation to Anberlin until afterward), then heard about a week later that they plan on re-releasing their first three albums. Talk about good timing.
6Demians

I saw Porcupine Tree a few nights back, and overheard somebody talking about good progressive acts, and this name came up. I've been meaning to check out this guy's stuff for a long time, but it keeps slipping my mind. It's also ridiculously hard to find in record stores.
