09.12.09 | It was tough deciding between The Art of Balance/Of One Blood and The War Within/Retribution. |
Inveigh
09.12.09 | Hmm.. I used to be a big fan of these guys, but I haven't heard all of Retribution yet (just Still I Rise and the one with Randy Blythe). With that album ommitted, my list would look like:
The Art of Balance
The War Within
Of One Blood
Threads of Life
Somber Eyes to the Sky
Fallout from the War
Interesting that you have SEttS ranked #1, are you an old school fan of these guys or something? |
Xenorazr
09.12.09 | @Inveigh: You could say so, but I actually held off on that album for a while since they had a different vocalist so I figured I wouldn't like it but I loved the heavier, faster and more frantic nature of SEttS, really took me by surprise.
@Benzum: I can see why you and others would think so, it's a great album, I'd have put it at 2 but I thought OoB was more consistent (though the variety did help TAoB). |

09.12.09 | ^It looks like you did put it at 2 ;) |
Xenorazr
09.12.09 | Wow I'm out of it lol, could've sworn I put it at 3, I fail lol |
Inveigh
10.27.09 | Now that I've taken time to digest Retribution, I'm finally going to put my ranking on your list:
The Art of Balance
The War Within
Retribution
Of One Blood
Threads of Life
Fallout from the War
I really haven't heard enough off of Somber Eyes to the Sky to rank it. |

Deviant.

GnarlyShillelagh
01.31.10 | Labonte sucked when he was with these guys. |
Xenorazr
02.01.10 | Labonte wasn't bad, he just didn't stand out. The vocals on SF songs have seldom been "striking," if ever, but they've always flowed very well with the music which is part of why I'm rather fond of the band. A Public Execution is probably my favorite song by them, but Crushing Belial is one of their better songs as well. |
