Blood Mountain
This could easily be #1, as it was what cast me into the throwes of progressiveness. The standout here, as a mediocre guitar player, is Capillarian Crest. I listened to this album for what seemed like ever last year, it blew my mind. The concept, climbing a mountain, sounds kind of stupid when read like that, but when added to Mastodon it gets a whole new meaning. | | 3 |  | Between The Buried And Me
Colors
This also could be #1, but just because I got into it later than I got ino 1 and 2 it gets this position. Its pretty much 64:31 of pure unadulterated orgasm produced in guitars, digeridoos, bass, keyboard, drums, accordians, strings, who knows what else? My mate once gave me a test where he fast forwarded halfway through a song to a completely random bit, and I could guess the song within 5 seconds.
