Holy Diver
The most consistent metal album out there since every single one of its songs is great. Dio and his fellow musicians deliver a flawless masterpiece, not to mention the influence on the Power Metal genre.

Master Of Puppets
Metallica?s overall best album. Expect no less than shouted vocals, frenzied guitar work and amazing creativity in songs like Battery, MoP, Welcome Home, Orion, Disposable Heroes and Damage INC. | | 3 |  | Megadeth
Rust In Peace
Breathtaking. Marty Friedman and Dave Mustaine provide some of the best guitar work out there. Hangar 18, Holy Wars and the title track show that quite well. | | 4 |  | Metallica
Ride The Lightning

Powerslave
Iron Maiden has tons of great albums, but I consider this one slightly better than the likes of 666, Seventh Son and Piece Of Mind. Why? It?s the best package, containing an instrumental track, three great hits, decent middle stuff and, of course, Rime Of The Ancient Mariner. The artwork is also top notch. | | 6 |  | Yngwie Malmsteen
Rising Force

Among The Living

Heaven And Hell
Paranoid is surely very good, but this is the definitive Black Sabbath album. Dio?s singing technique is quite different from Ozzy?s, and that made the band?s music much more interesting in my opinion. Iommi, Butler and Ward are also fantastic, which is easily proved by songs like Children Of The Sea and Die Young. | | 9 |  | Slayer
Reign In Blood
Fast and furios. After listening to this I felt like I had been beaten up, and it felt great. Raining Blood and Angel Of Death are the stand-out tracks here. | | 10 |  | Dream Theater
Octavarium
Much like Powerslave, Octavarium presents great songs such as The Root Of All Evil and Panic Attack combined with an epic finisher. | |

2 and 3 are epic as are 4 and particularly 5.
Yngwie Malmsteen is a totaly toss and a massive tool.
haven't heard 7 but 8 is really really great. 9 is ok but sounds the same.
Give Painkiller by Judas Priest a go and Slave To The Drind by Skid Row, you won't be dissapointed. | SoulReaper

For those who complained about RtL, sorry but that album is probably the one I´ve listened to the most, and it´s absolutely kickass, even though other like RiP sound stronger when heard from start to finish.
Added more detailed descriptions for HaH, which I should´ve done earlier to avoid Ozzy issues.
I´ve already listened a couple times to Painkiller, and even though I don´t like it that much I must admit it´s quality.
Thanks for correcting the spelling mistake. That was quite frustrating considering that I always try to pronounce it correctly, even though Englsh isn´t my native tongue.
About Octavarium... it´s the only DT album I´ve ever listened to and I´m not really a fan of the band, but since all you guys are against it I might try to replace, gonna check some other stuff today.
And I tryied my best not to fill this with Metallica and Maiden, as that´d make the list repetitive. PoM, 666, Somewhere In time, Iron Maiden, SSoaSS, Injustice and Kill ´em All are incredible, though. | BallsToTheWall

You should check out Images and Words, Awake, and Scenes From a Memory for better Dream Theater though. Octavarium is great, but inconsistent. | MetalMassacreAttack
07.15.09 | Yea that was kinda out of the blue, but back then I didn´t want to put another Megadeth/Metallica/Maiden album as there was a lot of those already.
If I was to update this list now, 8 would become 7, 7 would become 6, and 6 would become 8. Raining Blood would probably lose its position to Painkiller (I´ve listened to it again and it´s great, Piece Of Mind/666 level imo) and Ace Of Spades or some Maiden would probably dethrone octavarium.
But the list wouldn´t chance that much so I better wait for my taste to develop more. | zaruyache

Have you listened to EARLY rainbow (not the crap that came out after he left)? Rainbow "Rising" & "On Stage" are much better and "Long Live Rock 'n' Roll" isn't far behind. | MetalMassacreAttack
