In honor of my first review, I figured I would glance through my music collection and create a relatively spontaneous top ten favorite band list.

Pioneers of a legitimate 'core genre... Mathcore! The only people on the planet that discovered a value for infinity.

Releasing an album that is still revolutionary to this day nearly 15 years ago is an impossible feat that only Cynic can pull off. Did I forget to mention how awesome Traced In Air was?

Unsung heroes of modern legitimate progressive metal. I always wonder how, even in the new millennium, those darn Scandinavians can do metal so much better than anyone in America.

If a band's brand of music is so breathtaking that it allows them to nearly take over the industry, it must be good.

Incredibly gifted musicians with a seemingly limitless amount of creativity. This is the new music for 'thinking' young men.

An insane amount of shred fused with technicality that NO death metal band can match. Some of those riffs on Unquestionable Presence give me goosebumps regardless of how many times I hear them.
