Old Crows/young Cardinals Ranked!
Got the leak of the new Alexisonfire album yesterday, and I have to say, despite my doubts, it is
a brilliant album. They have made the transition from post-hardcore to pure rock. |
| 1 | Alexisonfire Old Crows
Should have been the first single. Great beat, great guitar work and the catchiest chorus of the album. |
| 2 | Accept Crime
Best song lyrically, and in my opinion, Dallas' best performance. |
| 3 | Midnight Regulations
In my opinion, the song most like a Crisis song, and it's where George fits in best. |
| 4 | Sons of Privilege
Just a really good song to jump about to. All the songs on the album have a very dance-y feel in terms of
the rhythm. They make you want to move! |
| 5 | Emerald St.
Another great song lyrically, and George's voice doesn't sound too bad here. |
| 6 | Young Cardinals
Definitely a grower of a song, but now it sounds like a fully fledged anthem. |
| 7 | Born and Raised
This song is very good, but very similar to Accept Crime. |
| 8 | Burial
A very soft song, similar to Rough Hands but with only Dallas singing. |
| 9 | The Northern
Another slow song, but done very well. |
| 10 | Heading for the Sun
Not particularly bad, but not anything special. |
| 11 | No Rest
My least favourite song on the album. The opening riff is cool, but the rest isn't great. |
