06.10.09 | Isis' new album rules face. I found them both to be pretty good movies, better than I was expecting |

06.10.09 | 1 - Harvey Milk, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. HM are closer to rock and than progressive or metal, but they share some of the sludginess that Mastodon have. Maylene are just southern metal.
2 - Dillinger Escape Plan. Not really similar to BTBAM but check em out anyways. Insane off-beat metal madness.
3 - Look What I Did, Finch. LWID blends quirky post-hardcore with a slew of different things from metal to pop, and Finch is a more poppy and more formulaic/less experimental version of Glassjaw.
4 - Showbread. Like Refused but with synth and industrial elements.
5 - Edge of Sanity, In Mourning. More extreme progressive metal goodness.
6 - Tool (lol)
7 - Maybe try dredg or Fair to Midland? They don't sound like Brand New but I can't really think of anyone that does.
As much as I love You, Man ruled I got more laughs out of The Hangover.
