05.09.09 | The Mantle is easily my least favorite from them tbh. It has some amazing parts but overall is pretty tough to listen to as a whole other than a few songs.
However, Ashes and Pale Folklore are both brilliant albums, both are high 4.5s for me. Get either of those. |

05.09.09 | Get The Mantle and Ashes Against the Grain. Pale Folklore is a bit more black metally. If you want an album that sorta is the middle ground inbetween the mantle and ashes get The Wind The Trees and the Shadows of the Past by The Morningside. I'm pretty sure you'll love it. |
