| The First 3 Months Of '09
My 5 favourite albums from the first three months of this year. | 1 | | Cursive Mama, I'm Swollen
As soon as I heard "I Couldn't Love You", I was hooked. When I heard, "From The Hips", I was in love. This album is immense; melodic yet introspective and edgy. | 2 | | P.O.S. Never Better
When I initially saw his face on the front of MySpace while I was in San Antonio, I assumed he would be another one of those stupid scene rappers, who would only cater for those kids for whom eclectisism is listening to Gym Class Heroes and Vampire Weekend. Boy, was I wrong. This album is viciously political, yet so intelligent and articulate, and P.O.S' flow is at times jaw droppingly good. It's restored my faith in hip-hop. | 3 | | Propagandhi Supporting Caste
I only heard about this band in February, but boy, they've made an impact. In simple terms, they own. | 4 | | Thursday Common Existence
I wasn't really expecting much from this album. After hearing "Full Collapse", nothing they did really excited me. However, when I heard this album, I was really quite impressed. "You Were The Cancer" is a brilliant song. | 5 | | The Lonely Island Incredibad
"When Bruce Willis was dead at the end of Sixth Sense, I jizzed in my pants!"
'Nuff said. | |
