04.01.09 | I don't know why they aren't coming up, but here are the descriptions:
1. Brokencyde should be shot, immediately.
2. What does that even mean?
3. ... featuring direct quotes from the bible such as "roh roh roh"...
best idea since Inspirational Satanic Pop
4. Parental Advisory- contains explicit references to wheat-based products
5. Maybe it doesn't exist yet... but I can only imagine... |

04.01.09 | I thought about adding pornogrind but I decided against it since Gut is basically the only band that does it. |
Lunarfall

Masochist
04.01.09 | The term "Shoegaze" came about because bands who are usually associated with the genre use so many effects on their guitars that they can have sometimes 30-40 pedals on stage at once. Because they switch between effects so many times, they're constantly looking down, or gazing at their shoes..."Shoegazing."
Bands associated with the genre:
-My Bloody Valentine (probably the most famous one)
-Ride
-Slowdive
-Starflyer 59
-Catherine Wheel
And if you've never heard of any of those, perhaps you might listen to Coldplay's "Chinese Sleep Chant" (the song that makes up the second half of the track "Yes"). That's a really good example of how a Shoegaze band might sound.
But really...you ought to have MBV's 'Loveless', if nothing else. |
