03.24.09 | best Mogwai albums are Young Team and Happy Songs for Happy People. and The Earth is not a cold dead place is actually by far the best EitS album, I didn't enjoy the other ones I've heard nearly as much.
also ( ) was my favorite Sigur Ros album for a long time but at some point Agaetis byrjun clicked and became one of my top 20 albums ever. hope it does the same for you ;)
other recommendations would be:
Talk Talk - Laughing Stock
Tortoise - Millions Now Living Will Never Die
A Silver Mt. Zion - This Is Our Punk Rock
Jaga Jazzist - What We Must (actually more jazz, but definitely has a post-rock feeling to it)
God Is an Astronaut - All Is Violent, All Is Bright
Meanwhile, Back in Communist Russia - Indian Ink
Slint - Spiderland
Red Sparowes - Every Red Heart Shines Towards the Red Sun (some sludge-elements here but I guess it's essentially post rock as well)
Mothlite - The Flax of Reverie |
Mendigo
03.24.09 | oh yeah, and you cannot get the picture of Agaetis byrjun, albums with strange symbols in it (or even only apostrophes) would never show up. you can get the spelling right by using html-code though. |

Get pg.lost too. That album is great. Also Mutyumu's Ilya is basically post rock but with some weird Japanese Opera and Death Metal thrown in. It's amazing though. |
