Best 10 Thrash Albums

Well, I'm ranking some thrash albums the way I feel right at the moment. Don't take this as a complete and holy list, though, it's just what I prefer and like at this time.
1Sodom
Agent Orange

Oh man, Agent Orange is just such a brilliant album it deserves to be at the top. The title track thrashes like mad, Remember The Fallen is near perfection and Ausgebombt is a delightful semi punk semi thrash song. Every instrument on this album is working at tremendous levels of awesome.
2Slayer
Reign In Blood

I just can't put this album lower, I mean, it's ****ing Slayer. From the hellish scream of Tom Araya to the brooding rainfall of Raining Blood, the album is filled with 30 minutes of blasphemy and dismemberment. And after all, isn't that what thrash metal is all about?
3Overkill
The Years Of Decay

Overkill isn't getting nearly enough praise. Blitz's vocals add aggressiveness to the faster tracks, and pulls off the slower ones like the title track very nicely. The axework is great, D.D.'s creative bass just keeps you interested and the drums pound out thrashing blast beats, but also do a good job on some odd time signatures like in Skullkrusher.
4Metallica
Ride The Lightning

Creeping Death is the reason this album is so good. Call Of Ktulu and Fight Fire With Fire are exceptional tracks as well, but James's horrid vocals and Lars's unimaginative drumwork deny the rest of the album the unwavering worship I exhibit towards the three previously mentioned tracks.
5Sepultura
Arise

Arise unleashes a furious sonic attack with the title track and doesnt stop any time soon. It lacks any weak moments, but unofrtunately, it also has little standouts except for Arise itself.
6Sodom
M-16

Sodom's concept album is a definite success. Angelrippers vocals are better than ever, even maniacal at times, the guitar shreds in solos and it's riffs are more destructive and dangerous than the weapon after which the album is named. Finally, the heavy firepower delivers itself with great blast beats and double-bass.
7Megadeth
Rust In Peace

Mustaine's vocals are as crappy as his relations with almost any other musician, but the complexity of every song here makes up for it. Throw in some excellent guitar work and you've got yourself a classic.
8Sepultura
Beneath The Remains

Another great Sepultura record, even though badly produced, this one is exactly as aggressive as Arise, maybe just not that creative.
9Metallica
Master Of Puppets

Like with Ride The Lightning, three tracks off this album are just amazing. Those are Battery, the title track, and Orion. The rest is, again, kind of mediocre.
10Sodom
Persecution Mania

Yeah, Sodom is just that awesome that it has 3 albums in this list. Persecution Mania is the album where the last of the black metal roots are heard, like on the title track. The odd Motorhead cover feels right too.
