Spamue1G 03.06.09	Try Pain Of Salvation. Not quite the same, but they're an interesting progression from DT. Symphony X for definite, though. If you don't like LaBrie, then Symphony X are certainly worth checking out if you like the music.

Nagrarok 03.07.09	Symphony X is probably what comes closest to Dream Theater, and the vocals are great, and even more of a relief when you've heard LaBrie wailing for so long.
Mendigo 03.07.09	yeah, Psychotic Waltz. and Deadsoul Tribe also older stuff like Yes or King Crimson were very influential for Dream Theater (but mind you, they're not metal)
