Also, of course it depends on the album, but there are reviews that are too long and too short... I'd say avg. is round 4,5 paragraphs maybe. Then again, there are many exceptions, if that's enough for you. |

02.27.09 | TBT's are not liked here in Sputnik. Review lenght can be short or long, there's no difference, as long you describe the album well. Just don't make it too short or too long. Go for the medium lenght I would suggest |

02.27.09 | as long as you can get your point a cross in a clear and detailed manner length really doesn't matter. as far as TBTs go, if you decide to do one at least make it look nice. Put it into paragraph form instead of just Track 1. Track 2. etc etc. |

02.27.09 | I'm personally a big fan of tbt reviews, but I know a lot of others don't like them. I like getting a reviewer's take on each track of the album. Just make sure you address the overall sound, quality, and cohesiveness of the album as a whole too. |

@ Skishua: Tbt's aren't necessarily bad, just try to describe+analyze the songs well enough. And put it in paragraph form.
Overall reviews are more interesting to read, but can be hard to do when you're a newbie. It's probably a good idea to go for a nice compromise between the two.
4-5 medium to large paragraphs is a good idea for length. Usually make sure you have at least one fairly large paragraph past the info bar. |
