| My Favourite Albums Part II
Just what it sounds like. These are other albums that are favourites
of mine. | 1 | | The Beatles The Beatles
What else can I say? This album, aside from the disastrous 'Piggies' is one of the greatest of all time,
and
also one of my favourites. | 2 | | The Who Quadrophenia
Every song is very well put together, with Keith Moon's drumming performance shining as well as Pete
Townshend's magnificent style of guitar. If you have not heard this album in it's entirety yet, then
immediately go out and buy it. No joke. | 3 | | Metallica Master Of Puppets
From Battery to Damage Inc, this album is full of outstanding Metallica songs, and is probably their
best
album to date. | 4 | | Bruce Springsteen The Ghost Of Tom Joad
I like to listen to this album on quiet, moonlit nights very loud, allowing myself to be pulled in by
Springsteen's exquisite lyrics. | 5 | | Many Artists Contributing I'm Your Fan: The Songs Of Leonard Cohen
In my opinion, Leonard Cohen is one of the greatest lyricists of all time, however his voice is not really
the
best to listen to. This compilation of covers brings out the best in Leonard Cohen through other people,
and
winds up being truly beautiful. | 6 | | King Crimson In The Court of The Crimson King
A progressive rock classic, this album picks you up and takes you away (how could it not with such
song
titles as 'The Court of the Crimson King Including The Return of The Fire Witch And The Dance of The
Puppets'). Robert Fripp is a genius. | 7 | | Neil Young After The Gold Rush
Lyrically and instrumentally just a great all around album. | 8 | | Nirvana In Utero
I am quite the grunge fan, and I believe that this album captures the spirit of grunge in it's entirety.
Kurt
Cobain's vocals are as hoarse as possible, and the guitar distortion is turned up to eleven. A classic. | 9 | | The Police Synchronicity
Sadly, this was the Police's last album before they spilt. It was also their greatest, combining reggae
and
rock elements to make a truly exceptional work of art. | 10 | | Tool Aenima
Not as perfect as Lateralus, but still a mighty album, and an easy contender for one of my favourite
albums of all time. | |
Underachiever
02.23.09 | Another list soon to come. | AliW1993
02.23.09 | 3 and 8 are amazing albums | rotterdog
02.23.09 | Everything on here's awesome except for 4. I'm not a big Springsteen fan. Scentless Apprentice is such a great song. | AliW1993
02.23.09 | Scentless Apprentice and All Apologies are the best two Nirvana songs imo. | Chewie
02.23.09 | some solid music on here | Mendigo
02.23.09 | yeah, 1 is their coolest album, in my personal top 3. (and even piggies is a lot better than most people give it credit for).
haven't heard 4 & 5 but the rest are all really great (with the exception of maybe 9), though both Tool and King Crimson have better albums (Lateralus and Red most of all).
7 and 3 however are in my Top 100 list as well. | TheGreatD17
02.23.09 | 2,6, and 10 are great but 4 confuses me, most people rate that among his worst albums. | Douchebag
02.23.09 | I need to hear 2. Tommy was too soft for me, is it better than that? I really like Who's Next though.
3 Is great yeah. I prefer nevermind over 8. Just cos its grunge dosn't mean it has to have a shoddy production imo. |
