My Favorite Rap Songs

All of my favorite hip-hop/rap songs compiled into one list
1Afrika Bambaataa
Looking For The Perfect Beat

This song has amazing electronic's behind an amazing rap. They found that perfect beat.
2Beastie Boys
Shake Your Rump

Most people would say that "Fight For Your Right" is the best one but i completly disagree. "Shake Your Rump" has great lyrics and deserves to be the best Beastie Boys song. I just love when they go "Shake Your Rump-ah"
3Jay-Z
December 4th

The Intro to this song is amazing and the song itself is great. Jay-Z is one of my favorite rappers.
4The Rulers Back

When Jay-Z came out with "Blueprint" he showed us all that he was still goin strong.
5Heart Of The City (Ain't No Love)

Possibly my favorite rap song.
6Kanye West
We Don't Care

this song is witty. It has great lyrics about selling drugs to get by in the world. He has "the kids" sing about it too which makes my laugh. Not a laugh as in making fun of it, but a laugh as in thats its so witty, and geinus.
7All Falls Down (Feat. Syleena Johnson)

The bass beats are great and the part that Syleena is in is amazing.
8Spaceship (Feat. GLC & Consequence)

It relates to all of us when we feel like we just need to get away and leave it all behind. Kanye's idea of flying away in the spaceship probably beats all of our ideas.
9Touch the Sky / Feat. Lupe Fiasco

Lupe Fiasco is another one of my favorite rappers. I like the part where he "ends his verse where the horns are". Trumpets and rap is just a great combo.
10Diamonds from Sierra Leone

The part that goes "Diamonds are forever" is great. Its not like the rhymes are bad either.
11Lupe Fiasco
Hip-Hop Saved My Life / Feat. Nikki Jean

Nikki Jean is just a great singer and has a great role in this song. Hip-Hop also has saved my life.
12Little Weapon / Feat. Bishop G & Nikki Jean

This song has great snare lines. The chorus is also amazing. I like the part where he goes "Just 5 more dogs and we can get a soccer ball."
13Dumb It Down / Feat. Gemstones and Graham Burris

"Dumb It Down" has the best wordplay I've ever heard. the rhymes are mind blowing. "Dumb It Down".
14Notorious B.I.G.
Notorious B.I.G. (feat. Lil' Kim & Puff Daddy)

One of the greatest rappers who have ever lived. The part that goes "Notorious" is infamous. "We are, we are, Notorious"
15Things Done Changed

The instrumentals in this song are amazing. B.I.G. is just amazing.
16Everyday Struggles

"Ready To Die" is an amazing album by itself. "Everyday Struggles" brings out the best of that CD.
17Outkast
Rosa Parks

Like I said in my "Aquemini" review, "Rosa Parks" is Outkast at its best. The Cowbell part is great and I just love Andre 3000.
18Ms. Jackson

Great Instrumentals. Outstanding chorus. "I'm sorry Ms. Jackson. I am for real."
19Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock
It Takes Two

Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock showed that "It takes two to make a thing go right". Together, the two of them can make good music and rap. rap good.
20The Roots
Rising Down (Feat. Mos Def)

The first time i listened to this album i didn't like it that much but after a second listen i thought it was great. The drums part is very good.
21Sir Mix-A-Lot
Baby Got Back

I know your all gonna be like "This is just for lol's right". No it ain't. This is truly a great rap song and I agree with Sir Mix-A-Lot 100% with this song. He's very convincing.
22The Sugarhill Gang
Rapper's Delight

"Now what you hear is not a test" The Sugarhill Gang mixes rap with good funk so it makes you wanna get up and dance.
23Young MC
Bust A Move

This song will forever be one of the greatest. I am proud to know all the words. "Just Bust A Move". Its also very comical.
