Current Top Ten

i've been listening to...
1Bon Iver
For Emma, Forever Ago

my current fallback album. there's something about this that i don't think anybody can really put their finger on, but its absolutely perfect in my opinion.
2 J. Tillman
Valicando Territory Blues

my friend recommended this to me a few months ago, and i pass this knowledge on to you. you may not like it just give it a try though.
3 Manchester Orchestra
I'm Like a Virgin Losing Her Child

this album is full and perfect in every way for a band's debut. great lyrics put on music that is layered and accessible at the same time. i have high hopes for their new one coming out in april.
4Weezer
Pinkerton

pinkerton and the blue album have weekly fist fights in my head to determine which is the better weezer album. pinkerton won this time.
5Brand New
Deja Entendu

it had been awhile since i had listened to this, but i put in my cd player the other and have listened to it probably 5 or 6 times now. some great songs.
6 Thrice
The Alchemy Index

my favorite band, i've been listening to this a lot, depending on what i feel like. awesome in every way.
7Rilo Kiley
More Adventurous

the first three songs on this album make it awesome in many ways, then the rest compliment them.
8 Explosions in the Sky
Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place

i probably listen to this every few days when going to sleep. best instrumental album i've ever heard.
9Coldplay
Parachutes

i don't care what anyone says, even chris martin himself, this is one of the greatest albums ever made. the sequence of the first five songs is amazing.
10 The Gaslight Anthen
The 59 Sound

straight rock and roll. i don't listen to many things like this, but this is just terrific to have on at all times.
