Recent Hodge Podge
Albums I've been recently digging, regardless of when they were released or when I first heard them.... not as much aggressive music as I have regularly listened to in the past. and disregard numerical order, I really can?t say which album I like second or sixth best. what do you think? |
| 1 | | Fleet Foxes Fleet Foxes
On the suggestion of a friend I looked them up and she was right. Great, relaxing, folk inspired music. |
| 2 | | M.I.A. Kala
For a while I wrote this off as more hipster music turned commercial fad. But then I realized that I sounded more pretentious than what I was originally attempting to criticize as pretentious and overly ?hip?. so I gave the album a listen and realized? well I like it. Although the lyric message in context of the music seems laughable sometimes?.. |
| 3 | | Small Brown Bike The River Bed
Until recently I never gave this album as close a listen as I did to our own wars. Big mistake. |
| 4 | | Moving Mountains Foreward EP
I think we can all agree... |
| 5 | | Caribou Andorra
psychedelic? |
| 6 | | The Coma Recovery Drown that Holy End in Wine
They combine a lot of things nicely. Heavy, melodic, ?post-" whatever?. |
| 7 | | Mastodon Leviathan
"I think that someone is trying to kill me, infecting my blood and destroying my mind?" yep. |
| 8 | | The Gaslight Anthem The 59' Sound
Of course.... |
| 9 | | Capsule Blue
Powerful, but still technical. Plus they pull it off live. |
| 10 | | The Samuel Jackson Five Easily Misunderstood
post-rock. post-rock. post-rock.. . |
