01.23.09 | Regarding Immortal, most of their albums are pretty different to each other, so if you don't like the particular brand of black metal on Pure Holocaust (lo-fi, grim, cold), then be sure to try out their other albums.
Besides that, I've only heard Bergtatt and pieces of Transilvanian Hunger. Both are sweet, though the folkiness of the former took a while to grow on me. | badtaste
01.23.09 | mofo, you're already familiar with Immortal, haha. In that case, I'm just gonna say that Pure Holocaust is pretty different to ATHoW and SoND. | NOTINTHEFACE
01.23.09 | 1 and 2 are very good. Haven't given either of them enough spin time, but I like what I've heard. I really want to get 5, too. | Hyperbore
01.23.09 | 2, 3, and 6 are all best-ever material. 7 is wonderful. Satyricon never went beyond "fairly good," but 4 is the best of their catalogue. 5 is the best of Summoning's newer material, although 'Dol Guldur' is their best overall, and 'Minas Morgul' is their most accessible record as it has a lot of stylistic variation. | Hawks
01.23.09 | 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 are some of the best black metal albums ever. I don't really like Summoning that much and I haven't heard 7. | Athom
01.24.09 | I dont like 4 and 6 but the rest are gold. |
