10.19.26 | Don't be annoying when you dislike my ranking, I don't care!
General thoughts: I did not enjoy them as much as I thought I would. I'm surprised how common it is for people to think the debut is bottom tier. Great instrumentation and arrangements for the most part, great performances, but I don't love Fagen's voice, the lyrics are goofball shit, and many of the songs keep the same groove the whole time and make them feel longer. I like that the albums are pretty short time wise. | zazazoom
10.19.26 | from snippets i've heard their songs alternate between royalty free waiting lobby comedy bit music or good ass songs | Josh D.
10.19.26 | I read about them and the albums, etc. while listening and it sounds like they were perfectionists, never satisfied, all that sort of vibe. For me it seems to have backfired a lot. They even had one of their engineers build a drum machine because they didn't like their session musicians! They had Jeff Porcaro on some albums, Bernard Purdie, Steve Gadd. If they're not good enough for you maybe you should stop treating music like a job and have fun! Nerds. | Ryus
10.19.26 | ""the lyrics are goofball shit"
what dont you like about them? i think they have consistently amazing lyrics, i love the well-drawn weirdo characters and the dry cynicism

10.19.26 | idk what any of the songs are about, I just had many moments of "what the hell are you talking about, man" while listening. Some cheesy rhyming too | efp123
10.19.26 | Black Cow is a goated song. Also, Peg is for sure a goodie |
