10.13.26 | gotta plug in my laptop so will be building out the rest of the list in a bit (descriptions, etc)
to kick things off: I studied and received my bachelor's degree with honours in pure mathematics... realised this left me more or less unemployable and wound up as a sales manager for a supplier-manufacuturer of electrical solutions (broad product range - covers LED lighting, field panels, DBs, etc) for mining and heavy industry |

10.13.26 | Just started my first job in tax resolution. Went back to school for accounting at 32. Convinced I won't like any job so I chose something consistent and I actually landed a great job in a niche during a hard time for jobs in the industry. Really enjoy it so far.
My only goal is to see as much live music as possible and continue having a healthy relationship w my partner |

10.13.26 | No, I don't think facilities management was a lifelong goal. |

10.13.26 | Well I used to be a reporter but you get paid in high fives and crackerjacks, so I moved over to a nonprofit and basically copyedit and prep people for interviews for twice as much. I really liked reporting but it doesn't pay the bills. Also super happy with where I'm at though too. |

hell yeah brother, that’s the dream
unfortunately being in aus means there’s limited availability of what I’d call good live music but am lucky enough to have an awesome partner whom I’ve been with for 8+ years
Currently on leave atm caring for her after a big knee surgery hence why I’m back posting here |

10.13.26 | I worked for a construction supply company not called Home Depot or Lowe's for about 5 years. Worked my way up through a plethora of jobs, starting at counter sales and ending as a purchasing agent. About six months ago I got a job as a sales support specialist for a tech company (sounds fancier than it is -- I'm basically the assistant/right hand man for a much more qualified, college-educated sales rep) |

10.13.26 | Oh, I cannot say I planned for this lol during my time in college I was hoping to major in either Mathematics or Linguistics. My time was cut short due to COVID though and I never ended up going back. |

Ah I see, looks like an epic area on google maps.
I'm down in Melbourne and (obviously I guess) the music scene is extremely active and varied. |
MurderousMadman
10.13.26 | yeah last time i was in melbourne i managed to catch some sick gigs... unfortunately newcastle is limited af since they shut the cambridge... hamilton station gets the odd act through (believe deafheaven played there tho i couldn't be assed seeing them), but most of the regular scene is amity affliction wannabe bs and lame-ass cover bands |
MurderousMadman
10.13.26 | Also open to recs if anyone here is into goregrind and gorenoise (list still a work in progress as the db is missing a lot of stuff) |

10.13.26 | software engineer. i didn’t grow up wanting to code but i hit a point a few yrs after high school where i didn’t know wtf i wanted to do with my life and i felt like it would be something i’d be good at. plus the pay
i like it just enough to keep doing every day. i don’t love it tho and AI has basically killed any sort of pride or satisfaction with the “craftsmanship” of good engineering. it means nothing anymore and the incentives in the industry encourage tokenmaxxing slop. it’s a bummer but in the grand scheme of things it could be a lot worse so i’m thankful to be where i’m at |

10.13.26 | General warehouse worker, which is where I anticipated I would end up after finishing my English degree (not Starbuck's like they all said). The work is whatever but I'm a union rep though and that's the fun (awful) part. |
omgbecky
10.13.26 | I go to work to get beat tf up. Currently off bc I fractured a hand bone. When I am there I'm supposed to manage resident funds and the staff that care for them, but I spend way more energy managing other people's emotions. Used to really love it, but since my injury I'm not too hot about it.
Sry, I don't have any comparable recs, but if you're interested in some thotty ahh hip hop, I got you! |

10.13.26 | throw it at me

10.13.26 | I issue building permits. I’m actually an urban planner from university, but it’s a niche education and the building industry is slumping hard these days…strongly considering taking an additional master’s in property development |

10.13.26 | I'm an electrical engineer at a nuclear power plant here in Illinois, home of Impetigo. I knew I wanted to do electrical engineering since I was a teen, but I never imagined I'd be working in the nuclear industry.
I'm much more of a death, black, or thrash metal fan than a goregrind fan, but I'd suggest Necrony - Pathological Performance if you don't know it already. It's most similar to Dead Infection - Surgical Disembowelment and Lord Gore - Autophagous Orgy based on what I know from your list. I still have a half-written review for it |
