| my post-hardcore EP is out!
I actually dropped it like a week ago but didn’t want to clog the site with back to back self-promotion since I already posted about the lead single lol. But I’d love to hear people’s thoughts/feedback on this, the third track is actually a demo that I posted on here in 2012 as one of the first things I ever made and the fourth and final track is a remake/reimagining of that same song. I’ll drop the bandcamp link but it’s also on Spotify etc, thanks so much to anyone that takes the time to check it out!! | | 1 | | How to Care for Flowers Wake Up and Wilt

Also check out fellow user GreyShadow’s project as well for something with a somewhat similar vibe, it’s really good! | |

08.06.26 | I see you're on apple music as well. Dwnld'd. I'll return with my thoughts later! | Scoot
08.06.26 | this is pretty good man, the keys are a bit much in the first track but i like the dynamic you're going for | omgbecky
08.06.26 | Okay, I'm back. Wasn't really sure what to expect because sometimes my idea of what a genre is differs from others. Overall, I really enjoyed your EP. The sound is totally up my alley. It's got the right amount of corny and I mean that in the most positive way. Cadence of the vocals on the last track remind me of Jordan from La Dispute.
I also checked out 2 and the vibes are not somewhat similar. I think there are parts on Mismovement & Infinite Jenga that are similar. Otherwise, it's way more whimsical.
Good on you and GreyShadow for putting out your stuff. May the right people find and enjoy your music! | auberginedreams
08.08.26 | Hey thanks for listening guys!
Scoot - thanks man yeah I can see that, my last EP I went all in on the electronic elements because I went through a period of being kind of bored with guitar music and with playing guitar even. I’ve since recovered from that and went back in a guitar driven direction again this time but didn’t want to abandon those elements completely. Btw I’ve been wanting to do a heavier more pure metalcore or hardcore project at some point so idk if you’re still interested in making music like that but I’m looking for people to collab with if you’re interested!
omgbecky - thanks so much for checking it out!! (nice username btw) La Dispute is probably my biggest influence which I’m sure is pretty obvious. I totally understand what you mean by corny no worries, it’s intentionally unapologetically melodramatic. And by similar vibes I guess I just meant it’s another Sputnik user making emo-adjacent music but you’re right his music is relatively upbeat and mine is like actual mental health problems music lmaoo |
