| Memento's Top 200 Albums, Part 2: 180-161
Summer holidays have rolled around, whence I had time to significantly revise my ratings and assemble this provisional top 200. This will be the second of ten installments across which I will present this ranking on Sputnik, a convulsing website that no longer allows me to edit the favorite bands section on my page, so hopefully this top 200 will set the record straight. All the usual caveats included (this top 200 is just my opinion, consequently heavily biased toward certain styles of music, a mere snapshot in time, has a somewhat arbitrary ranking that could easily change, etc.). If you can guess any of the albums on the following iterations of the top 200 (without looking at my ratings, that is, of course) I will be impressed. out of interest, presumably this is in 10 parts because the diabolical site infrastructure will likely cause issues? There are (usually) ways around this by refreshing under another tab but I do understand the hesitation in doing larger lists. | MementoMori
07.17.26 | @Dewingend. Great indeed, one of the most impressive single-person projects in extreme metal.
@Demon of the Fall: I even contemplated putting Kostnateni's 3-song EP on here, but I think Upal is their most accomplished work yet. It's not my favourite D&D record either, but still an outstanding effort. And yes, this is a ten parter because of the 'diabolical site infrastructure' for which I have not found a reliable work around so I am just limiting myself to parts as small (or indeed as large) as possible for now. |
