JoyfulPlatypus 07.14.26	I like this list! And I can relate. I only fully discovered The Mars Volta last year and it made me question what the heck I'd been doing for the last 20 years not listening to them.
Deez 07.14.26	Weird one but Alice in Chains - Dirt, was never a big AIC fan, I was a teen when it dropped and I was more into death metal and stuff at the time and most stuff that was more well known i always brushed off cos I was an elitist little shit and wanted to be more underground but even over the years AIC have done nothing for me but recently started to vibe with Dirt quite a lot out of nowhere.
MTObsidian 07.14.26	Recently listened to "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath for the first time ever. Considering how much metal I enjoy and also that I play in a metal band too, I probably should have given it a try much sooner than a couple weeks ago. It was... fine. I can see why it's such a foundational classic for the genre, though.

arthropod 07.14.26	Nice idea. To me, that album would be Crack the Skye. I've been aware of Mastodon for years and listened to some of their stuff quite regularly, but I only got into that album after buying a copy a few weeks ago. One of the easiest 5s I've ever given.

JoyfulPlatypus 07.14.26	Honestly, the more I think about this list the more answers I could provide lol. There are LOTS of classics, both obscure and mainstream, that I likely would've never bothered to check out had it not been for this site.
